John Fisher Ward
I'm Fisher.

As written above, my full name is John Fisher Ward, but I go by my middle name because there's a lotta "J" names in the world and I need to stand out somehow.

I'm from Kansas City, recently relocated to Dallas. I love traveling, reading books and comics, listening to music, comedy, watching movies, and generally looking for new experiences to expand my creativity and storytelling abilities. Before you ask, my favorite authors are Ellroy, Connelly, Faulkner, Hemmingway, O'Connor, McCarthy, Mamet, Hurston, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Chekov, Shakespeare, Dickens, Jackson, du Maurier, and so many more.

Anyways, welcome to the contents of my head. This site is a truncated summary of and introduction to my work, my life, and my ambitions. If it wasn't obvious, I'm a writer, editor, researcher, photography hobbyist, general creative, full time bibliophile, and part-time bartender. Why bartender? Well it seemed like an appropriate career alternative for being a writer, if history has taught us anything. So, while I wile away the hours working on the next entrant of the American Literary Canon, I'm editing for local companies, working on short stories, taking a few pictures here and there, and playing games with friends.

In the meantime, enjoy your look around. If anything seems of interest to you, drop me a line. I'll see how I can help you.

Cheers!
